I now offer online tutoring as a complement to the face to face service I give.
I am now only seeing new students face to face
who live in Buckingham, Brackley or villages between. If you are
outside this area, please do consider online
tuition.
How does it work?
I use a combination of whiteboard software from BitPaper, together with Zoom for voice. You would need to have a webcam and microphone to make effective use of the lessons. You don’t download BitPaper but just follow a link I email to you. Yes, you do need to install Zoom if that is not already on your computer. I provide details of how to do this. It is very simple, and free to use.
Like with my face-to-face
tutorials we have an agreed day and time for our sessions and these
last one hour or so. You log in a couple of minutes before the
session starts and we are ready to go!
Notes from the tutoring session
can be saved. The student can also upload material they want to
cover, though this is not necessary – I have a large resource base
to draw on.
When students try online for the first time they are surprised how efficient it is, and no different to me being sat next to them.
